What be thee mightiest thing ye love about Pirate Rafting?
Official T-Shirt!
Git ready for 2010 with yer very own rag, Designed by the fearsome Whisky Jim, this shirt can be yers by simply clickin' on thee photo!
What ye should bring!
*Pirate Attitude! *Tube or other float device (Cache Creek has some stretches of serious whitewater, so bring something tough. Not just a quiet float trip! We recommend nice big black tire innertubes you can get from almost any tire shop. They can give you a rash, however, so bring a long-sleeve shirt or cover your tube. Tubes are actually somewhat easier to ride than rafts, but for those who might be nervous types, a good little raft will do the trick, but make sure it's a tough one.) *Food enough for yourself for as long as you plan to stay (except Saturday night ye'll be eatin' BBQ) *Booze enough for legions of drunken pirates. *Utensils, camp stove, whatever you need for cooking. *Waterproof stuff. (EVERYTHING will be soaked, so bring baggies, etc for anything you need to keep dry) * Shoes for the River - Wal-Mart is a great place to score y' fancy ye cheap shoes. *Ropes, clips, etc. Everything will need to be attached to your ship. Please don't bring anything that you could lose down the river. Or else use things like carabiners to clip everything to your ship. Last year we made a mess and felt bad, even with our pirate attitudes! *Canteen & other plastic bottles for your grog. We encourage pirate attitudes, but please don't allow your grog consumption to affect your swimming performance. Cache Creek can be dangerous even for salty sea dogs! NO glass bottles, NO cans; keep your beverages attached to your ship at all times. * LIFEJACKET (Can't leave shore without one) * Sunglasses, sunscreen, bonnets ( The trip down lasts about 3 hours or so, so the sun can be BRUTAL, even though you don't get hot) * Guitars and other pirate sing-along equipment
